How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can not Even Smile Today is the third studio album by the American band Suicidal Tendencies. It was released in September 1988 on Epic Records.

Formation and style

After a brief break, the band 1988 How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can not Even Smile Today regruppierte. First came the punk elements in favor of an oriented on speed metal and thrash metal sound, some with fairly complex Breaks in the background. Come new in the band was the rhythm guitarist Mike Clark, who had previously played in Mike Muir's side project No Mercy. He participated in the same very strong songwriting and was responsible for the music of six pieces. Three more pieces still came from ex- bassist Louiche Mayorga.

Reception

Steve Huey of Allmusic called the album "one of the best releases " of the band. Muir's self-analysis and social commentary were so absolutely irresistible and amusing as ever. He forgave 4.5 out of five stars. Thomas wrote in the copper rock hard, even on the new disk, the "Heavy Metal bonds are unmistakable, but the compositions sound far more mature and more colorful than in previous days. One must in any case be a great prophet in order to give the Suicidal Tendencies with How Will I Laugh Tomorrow bright future prospects because with songs like 'Trip at the Brain ' ( the first single ), the title track or ' Surf and Slam' you've made it to create a unique style that I would sometimes sketch out roughly as ' cultured Hardcore '. " He forgave 8.5 out of ten. The magazine recorded the album in 2009 in its list of " 250 thrash metal albums that you should know " on.
