Iain Ross Turner ( born January 26, 1984 in Stirling ) is a Scottish football player. The goalkeeper stood from 2003 to 2011 with FC Everton. Since January 2014, he plays for FC Barnsley

Career

Turner came in 2000 from Riverside Boys Club at Stirling Albion, which at this point in the Scottish Football League Third Division play. In the season 2002/ 03 he came to his debut in the adult area, and graduated to the year 13 league games. After the trial with northern English first division club FC Everton boss David Moyes won in December 2002 by his abilities, joined Turner in January 2003 for £ 50,000 to the club from Liverpool.

Because Wright had violated the warm-up against Chelsea before the fourth round replay of the FA Cup, Turner took his place between the posts, but could not prevent the 0-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge. A few days later he came also the first time in the Premier League action, as he stood in the 1-0 win against Blackburn Rovers in the grid. However, his league debut lasted just nine minutes, then he was dismissed because he had parried a header return of his front man Alan Stubbs outside the box by hand.

On the last two days of the 2005/06 season he came again to the train, the arrival of goalkeeper Tim Howard from Manchester United for the 2006/ 07 decreased further applications but significantly. In the course of the season he spent, as in previous years, loan period at unterklassigen professional clubs Crystal Palace and Sheffield Wednesday were the whereabouts. His only Premier League use in the course of the season took place in controversial circumstances. By season's end, he refused to renew his contract at Everton and he left the club after eight years and six competitive games.
