Imogen Stubbs

Imogen Stubbs ( born February 20, 1961 in Newcastle -upon- Tyne, England, United Kingdom) is a British actress.

Stubbs was born in Northumberland and lived for a short time in Portsmouth. After her family moved into a house boat on the Thames in London, she attended St Paul 's Girls ' School in Hammersmith and Westminster School. Later she studied at Exeter College, Oxford. Her acting training she received at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art

She became known by her stage presence at the Royal Shakespeare Company, including as Desdemona in Othello in her future husband Trevor Nunn. In several Hollywood films, she was mostly in supporting roles, but also in leading roles in the film adaptation of Shakespeare As You Like It ( Twelfth Night, 1996) can be seen as a viola. On television, she appeared on, including Shakespeare adaptations as well as the protagonist of the series Anna Lee.

Stubbs is also active as an author. In July 2004, her piece We happy few at the Gielgud Theatre in London Premiere. It is of a purely female occupied theater troupe, the barnstorming during the Second World War by Britain to make Shakespeare to a wide audience. The piece was produced by Trevor Nunn. The main characters are Juliet Stevenson, Kate O'Mara and Marcia Warren were seen.

Imogen Stubbs is married to 21 years old Sir Trevor Nunn since 1994 and has two children with him. Since April 2011, the couple live in isolation.
