Ionela Târlea
Ionela Târlea (also Tirlea, during marriage Târlea - Manolache; born February 9, 1976 in Rimnicu Vilcea ) is a Romanian hurdler and Olympic silver medalist.
She is two-time European champion in the 400 m hurdles and won at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the silver medal in the 400 m hurdles behind Fani Chalkia (GRE ) and before Tetjana Tereschtschuk - Antipowa (UKR ). With the 4 × 400 m relay she finished sixth.
Ionela Târlea is an extremely competitive tough athlete who has competed at the Athletics European Cup in two days already in up to four disciplines. Her repertoire encompasses 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 400 m hurdles and both relays.
The a sports teacher was married from 2004 to 2007 with Daniel Manolache. She is 1,69 m tall and has a competition weight of 54 kg.
