Ivor Guest, 4th Viscount Wimborne

Ivor Mervyn Vigors Guest, 4th Viscount Wimborne ( born September 19, 1968) is a British peer, music producer and composer.

Life and career

Guest was born on September 19, 1968 as the son of Ivor Fox - Strangways Guest, 3rd Viscount Wimborne. He attended Eton College.

Guest is mainly for his work with Grace Jones ( "Hurricane" / "Hurricane Dub" 2011) and Brigitte Fontaine ( " Prohibition in 2009 " / " L' un l' ne pas a l' autre empêche 2011" ) and the solo album Skye Edwards - singer of the trip-hop group Morcheeba - entitled " Keeping Secrets " known.

During his career he worked with Sly and Robbie, Tony Allen, Brigitte Fontaine, Areski Belkacem, Brian Eno, Barry Reynolds, Atticus Ross, Tim Simenon, Robert Logan and Wally Badarou. He also worked on tracks with French artists such as Jacques Higelin, M, Christophe Bertrand Cantat, Arno, Alain Souchon, Philippe Katerine and Emanuelle Seigner with Brigitte Fontaine.

His work in film includes the British cult film The Football Factory and Alex Gibneys Oscar-winning Taxi to the Dark Side. He lives and works in the UK.

Guest belongs to the Hereditary Peerage Association.

Membership in the House of Lords

After the death of his father in December 1993, he inherited the title of Viscount Wimborne and the time associated seat in the House of Lords. There he sat as a cross Bencher.

His seat he lost by the House of Lords Act 1999. For one of the remaining seats he had not set up for election. In the Register of Hereditary Peers who stand for a by-election is available, it is not listed.

Family

He is married to Ieva Imsa. They have a daughter.
