Jack White
Jack White ( born July 9, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan as John Anthony Gillis ) is a songwriter, singer and guitarist of the band The Raconteurs, and drummer for The Dead Weather. Biography
Jack White grew up in a Catholic extended family with ten siblings. At age eleven, he started drums to play guitar at 15. In 1992, he studied music at the Cass Technical High School and made the incidental effect of training in a Polstereibetrieb. At this time Jack White opened his own Polstereibetrieb, Third Man Upholstery. The color scheme was similar to its current label Third Man Records, yellow and black. The advertising slogan was "Your furniture is not dead " and although the business was not bad, Jack White made the life as an upholsterer no fun, he wrote poems in the inside of the furniture. His first professional appearance was playing White as a drummer in the band " Goober & the Peas".

They played as a duo from late 1993 to 1996, only guitar and drums. When Brian lost interest in the band, Jack White came up with the idea to put his alleged sister Meg White on drums. On 1 June 2005 Jack married Karen Elson, the red-haired model who is also seen in the music video for Blue Orchid from the album Get Behind Me Satan. On the same day he was playing with his band, The White Stripes, the first rock band, a concert at the Teatro Amazonas in Manaus. Since May 2, 2006 Jack and Karen have a daughter and a son since August 7, 2007. 2010 produced Jack White for his wife, whose first album, "The Ghost who walks ", a collection of songs in the Gothic - folk style. In 2001, Jack White in Detroit record label Third Man Records. Since 2009 the label has a recording studio, office space, a record store and a venue with a recording booth and a photo studio in Nashville.
Music style
Jack White cites as his biggest musical influences blues musicians such as Robert Johnson, Son House and Blind Willie McTell. His own style is influenced by blues and partly also from folk rock, punk elements are still recover in some songs.
