Jacques Secrétin
Jacques Secretin (born 18 March 1949 in Carvin ( Northern France ) ) belonged in the 1970s and 1980s, to the best table tennis players in the world. He was European champion in singles and World Champion in Mixed.
A wider audience, he was known for his show with Vincent Purkart with which he tried to bring table tennis even a non - specialist audience.
National
Secretin played in the early 1970s for the club AC Kremlin -Bicêtre, with whom he won the 1973 French Team Championship. He is left-handed. Between 1966 and 1989 he won 17 French Championships in men's singles and 19 still numerous in the men's and mixed doubles, in addition title with the team.
Internationally
His international career began in 1959 at the International Championships of England (pupils ) in Folkestone. The greatest success achieved secretin 1976 as European champions in men's singles. This year, he was out in the world rankings to rank 2. In 1977 he won in Birmingham with Claude Bergeret the world championship in mixed doubles. Private
Secretin is married to wife Colette and has two children. He is table tennis pro and is paid by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Paris. In 1984 he was honored by the French government with the Legion of Honor.

For the 50th anniversary of the French Table Tennis Association FFTT 1977 and for winning the Table Tennis World Championships 1977 in Birmingham, Mixed by Jacques Secretin and Claude Bergeret a stamp to 1.10 France was by the French post brought to issue on 17 December 1977 ( Michel-no. 2060 ).
