Jakub ÄŒutta

Čutta Jakub ( born December 29, 1981 in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with BK Mladá Boleslav of the Czech Extraliga since May 2011.

Career

The 1.91 m wide defender played for the Swift Current Broncos in the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League when he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 as 61 in the second round by the Washington Capitals.

In the 2000 /01 season the links Sagittarius was the first time for the Capitals in the NHL on the ice, however, Čutta could never prevail permanently in the capital and spent most of his time with the Portland Pirates, the farm team of Washington in the American Hockey League. After a season with the Hershey Bears, the new partner of the capital, joined the Czech back to his homeland, where he ran aground on White Tigers Liberec in the Extraliga. 2007 signed the defender finally signed a contract with the Russian first division club Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, which he left Traktor Chelyabinsk during the playing time in the direction of HK. After he had taken part in the training camp of the Washington Capitals before the start of the 2008/09 season, he joined in October 2008 returned to his native country for HC Energie Karlovy Vary. With his new team, he won the 2009 Czech Championship. In May 2011, the Czech was obliged by BK Mladá Boleslav.

Internationally

With the Czech U20 national Jakub Čutta contested the Junior World Championship in 2001. In seven games the defender scored an Assist
