James Murray (British Army officer)

James Murray ( born January 21, 1721 Ballencrieff, East Lothian, Scotland, † June 18, 1794 in Battle (East Sussex ), England ), member of the Royal Society, was a British soldier, colonial administrator and governor of the province of Quebec and served as Governor of Minorca (1778-1782) later.
