Jan Mauersberger

January Mauersberger ( born June 17, 1985 in Munich) is a German football player who is under contract with Karlsruher SC since the 2012/13 season.

Career

Clubs

January Mauersberger first played in the football department of TSV Grosshadern, before he moved in 1994 to the e- Youth FC Bayern Munich and went through every consecutive youth teams. From 2004 to 2006 he played for amateur team total of 57 games in the Regionalliga Süd. He made his debut on 11 October 2002 (11th Round ) in a 2-2 away draw against SV Elversberg when he came off the bench for the second half for Serkan Atak. Shortly after his first appointment to the Bundesliga squad of FC Bayern Munich, he retired in the fall of 2005 a severe knee injury and then did not come half a year to use.

From the 2006/07 season played Mauersberger for the second division SpVgg Greuther Fürth, where he (4th Round ) debuted already on 17 September 2006 in a 3-0 away win over FC Erzgebirge Aue, but on his first goal for more than had to wait three years. On 19 September 2009 ( 6th Round ) he presented with the 4-0 in the home match against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen the Final ago. After first regular inserts for Spielvereinigung he came in the first half of the 2010/11 season only three short sessions ( total playing time, three minutes). Then he moved into the winter break for league rivals VfL Osnabrück, where he signed a contract valid until June 2013. At the end of the season he rose with Osnabrückern from the 3rd league. After 22 games and three goals in this he moved to the 2012/13 season for Premier League rivals Karlsruher SC, for he 21 July 2012 (1st Round ) debuted in a 2-2 away draw against 1 FC Heidenheim. As the only player of the KSC he stood in all 38 league matches in the starting eleven and rose at the end of the season with the KSC on to the 2nd Bundesliga. Mauersberger has a contract at KSC expiring on 30 June 2016.

National

For the DFB he played with the U-20 national team three internationals. He made his debut on 8 December 2004 with the Substitutes for the second half for Michael Stegmayer a 0-0 draw against Italy in an international game round. The 1-0 victory on 23 March 2005 against the selection of Austria and the 2-2 draw on 13 April 2005 against the selection of Switzerland were his last two games in the national jersey.
