Clubs

In his youth Hennings played for VfL Oldesloe, from there he moved in 2001 to Hamburger SV. There he played from 2005 to 2007 with the second team in the Regionalliga Nord. In the 2007 /08 season he was loaned out to VfL Osnabrück, for whom he played his first second-division match against SC Freiburg on matchday. In the 2008 /09 season Hennings was loaned to FC St. Pauli. For the season 2009/10 FC St. Pauli took it over a two-year contract until 2011.
