Jarosławiec, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Jarosławiec ( German Jershöft ) is a fishing village and seaside resort on the Baltic Sea in Pomerania. It is now in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Postomino ( Pustamin ) in a circle Sławno ( Schlawe ). The local landmark is visible from a lighthouse.

Geographical location

Jarosławiec located 28 kilometers north of the county town Sławno and 20 kilometers northeast of Darlowo ( Rügenwalde). The place can be reached via two access roads, starting on the coast road from Drozdowo ( Drosedow to the voivodeship (DW) 203) on Rusinowo ( Rützenhagen ) or Zaleskie ( Saleske ) (also on the DW 203) on Królewo ( Krolow ) branch. The nearest train station is Darłowo to the state railway line No 418 Korzybie ( Zollbrueck ) - Sławno - Darłowo.

The district Jarosławiec is bounded in the north by the Baltic Sea, east of Wicko Morskie ( Vietzkerstrand ) on Jezioro Wicko ( Vietzker Lake ), in the south of Jezierzany ( New Hagen Office), in the south of Naćmierz ( Natzmershagen ) and to the west of Rusinowo ( Rützenhagen ).

Jarosławiec lies on a boulder clay dome that was washed away from the Baltic Sea and therefore decreases as clay cliffs (22 meters above sea level. ) To the water. Place name

History

The oldest history of Jershöft is not known. The village belonged to the Official Rügenwalde. 1508 arbitrating a dispute between the Duke of the city Rügenwalde and fishermen from Jershöft and Vitte (now Polish: Wicie ). 1775 there was a border dispute between Jershöft and Rützenhagen ( Rusinowo ). 1784, the village had 11 farmers, 7 Straßenkossäten and 3 Büdner ( including 1 schoolmaster ) in a total of 24 fireplaces.

In 1818 151 residents were registered in Jershöft. Their number increased to 1885 to 283

A significant revenue increase was the community through tourism. 1865 Jershöft became one of the oldest Prussian Baltic resorts. On March 9, 1945 at 12:30 clock, the Red Army invaded the village. Church

Jershöft before 1945 had no church of their own. The inhabitants were all Protestant and belonged to the parish Rützenhagen ( Rusinowo ) in the parish of Rügenwalde in the ecclesiastical province of the Church of the Old Prussian Pomerania Union. School

The Lighthouse
