Jaśkowice, Opole County

Jaschkowitz (Polish: Jaśkowice ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Jaschkowitz located in the municipality Proskau ( Prószków ) in Opolski powiat (district Opole ) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

History

The village was mentioned in documents as "Villa Johannis " on 29 November 1312. The original location is arguably become desolate, Felix Trieste dated the place in 1865 at an age of 300 years, ie to the 16th century. 1784 was the place that belonged to the rule Proskau, nine gardeners, cottagers and a three Vorwerk. 1797, the colony was founded Jaschkowitz. In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 191 voters voted to remain in Germany and 31 for the membership of Poland. Jaschkowitz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 298 inhabitants in the village. On April 28, 1936, the place in Johann Village / Upper Silesia has been renamed. 1939, the place had 311 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Jaśkowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Opolski. On 11 July 2006 German was in the community Proskau who belongs Jaschkowitz, introduced as a second official language. On 30 April 2010, the City also received the official German place names Jaschkowitz.
