Zimnice Małe

Small Schimnitz Polish Zimnice Małe is a town in Upper Silesia. Small Schimnitz located in the municipality Proskau ( Prószków ) in Opolski powiat (district Opole ) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Small Schimnitz is located six kilometers east of the parish seat Proskau and eleven kilometers south of the county town of Opole and voivodship.

History

1295 for the first time a place called " Symanovicz " was mentioned in a document. However, it is not known whether it acted to small or to large Schimnitz Schimnitz.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 187 voters voted to remain in Germany and 85 for Poland .. Small Schimnitz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 504 inhabitants in the village. On 19 May 1936, the town was renamed in small village mold. 1939, the place had 500 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Ziemnice Małe and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Krapkowicki. On 7 October 2004, the village name was changed to Zimnice Małe. On 11 July 2006 the Zimnice Małe German was in the community Prószków, plays, introduced as a second official language. On 30 April 2010, the City also received the official German place names Small Schimnitz.
