Jean Dondelinger

Jean Dondelinger ( born July 4, 1930; † 21 October 2004) was a Luxembourgian politician and diplomat.

He studied law in Nancy and Paris, where he graduated with a doctorate and obtained the license of political science at St Antony 's College, Oxford.

In 1958 he moved to Luxembourg Foreign Ministry, where he was director of international economic relations. From 1975 to 1984 he was Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the European Communities in Brussels. Then he became Secretary General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg.

From 1989 to 1993 he was in the European Commission Delors II Commissioner for Information, Communication, Culture and Audiovisual. Then he represented Luxembourg in Greece.
