Jean Dotto

Jean Dotto ( born March 27, 1928 in Saint- Nazaire, † February 20, 2000 in Ollioules ) was a French cyclist. As an Italian born, he took on September 1, 1937, French citizenship.

Career

His professional career lasted from 1948 to 1962, and in the driver's field he was called " Vigneron de Cabasse ". His greatest achievement was the victory in the overall standings of the Tour of Spain from 1955. Dotto also won one stage of the Tour de France and the Giro d' Italia. Later Dotto admitted to have doped during his cycling career with amphetamines.
