Jean-Paul Rappeneau

Jean -Paul Rappeneau ( born April 8, 1932 in Auxerre ) is a French film director and screenwriter.

Life

Rappeneau began as an assistant and screenwriter. In 1958 he developed for Jacques Becker a script for the three Musketeers, which was obsolete by his death. 1959 his screenplay for Arsene Lupin Signé by Yves Robert was filmed. In 1960 he wrote the screenplay for Louis Malle Zazie and 1964 for Philippe de Broca with others the book for Jean -Paul Belmondo hit movie adventures in Rio. In 1966 he made ​​his first major film life in the lock. He is the brother of screenwriter Élisabeth Rappeneau and father of the writer Julien Rappeneau and the composer and singer Martin Rappeneau.
