Jeff Ament

Jeffrey Allen Ament ( born March 10, 1963 in Havre, Montana) is the bassist for the American rock band Pearl Jam.

Jeff began his musical career in a band called Deranged Diction, before he played with Stone Gossard, Steve Turner and Mark Arm in the band Green River. After the dissolution of Green River and founded Jeff Stone Mother Love Bone, which they soon were on the verge of a breakthrough. Due to the drug-related death of singer Andy Wood, the band was dissolved at the end of the 80s and founded Pearl Jam. Here plucks Jeff Ament until today the bass.

In addition to Pearl Jam Jeff works with Robbi Robb of Tribe After Tribe of the Three Fish project. He also published on 16 September 2008 under the Monkey Wrench label released his first solo album entitled "Tone ". The album was released and sold with a limited edition of 3000 CDs in the U.S. only. Moreover, it is available for download. The album includes 10 songs and has a playing time of almost 33 minutes.

Jeff is a big fan of sports and interests include basketball and skateboarding. He is also very active in the hardcore scene. He is Straight Edge since 1989.

Together with his brother Barry Ament Jeff runs the design company " Ames Bros. ", which manifests itself responsible for many Pearl Jam posters, CD artwork and newsletters.
