Jeff Cowan

Jeffrey Cowan ( born September 27, 1976 in Scarborough, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the Iserlohn Roosters in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Jeff Cowan began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League, where he was active for the Guelph Storm and Barrie Colts from 1993 to 1996. During this period he received on October 2, 1995 as a free agent contract with the Calgary Flames. First, however, the attacker played three years solely for their farm team, the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League and Roanoke Express of the East Coast Hockey League, before he made ​​his debut in the National Hockey League for Calgary in the season 1999/2000. In his rookie year of the links Sagittarius scored five points scorer in 13 games.

On 18 December 2001, the Calgary Flames transferred the Canadians to their league rivals Atlanta Thrashers, for which he ran aground the next two years in the NHL. He was then released in exchange for Kip Brennan to the Los Angeles Kings just before the end of the Trade Deadline in the season 2003/ 04. At the beginning of the 2006 /07 Cowan moved to the Vancouver Canucks, where he in 2008 but no new contract was awarded, so that he stood exclusively for the Peoria Rivermen in the AHL during the 2008/ 09 season on the ice.

On 20 August 2009 Cowan received a one-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL.

In August 2011, Cowan signed a contract with the Iserlohn Roosters.
