Jetětice

Jetětice ( German Jetietitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers south-west of Milevsko in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Pisek.

Geography

Jetětice is located in the headwaters of a small stream in the south of belonging to the Central Bohemian hills Milevská pahorkatina. To the south lies the valley of the brook Jetětický creek. To the north rises the Seník (500 m ) in the north- east, the Obora (570 m), the Mladšiny (535 m) and the Skalice and east of Šlahoun (514 m). On the southern outskirts of the village the railway line Tábor Pisek runs. To the west lies the the Orlíkstausee flooded valley of the Vltava River.

Neighboring towns are Dolnice, Květov and Tyrolský Dum to the north, Rukáveč, Skalka, Branice and Stehlovice in the Northeast, U Zárubů, Jižiny, Veselíčko and Bilina in the east, Podolí, Bernartice, Křenovice, Horni Rastory, Dolni Rastory and Podolí I to the southeast, Hajnice, Myslivna, Olešná and in the south, Cervena, Truhlařov, Jetětické Samoty, Habr and Pazderna in the southwest, and Tukleky Pazderny in the west and Oslov, Zbeřov, Cervena 2 díl, Vusi and Pazderna in the northwest.

History

Archaeological finds indicate a prehistoric settlement in the municipal area. The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1251 as a possession of the Premonstratensian monastery Mühlhausen. The monastery was destroyed in 1420 by the Hussites. As of 1430, the village of Předbor Radešín belonged. In 1437 acquired Ulrich von Rosenberg Jetětice and joined it to be Klingenberg deposit. Henry V of Rosenberg gave in 1473 a quarter of the possessions of the house Rosenberg, among them, the Klingenberg Pawn, his cousin Bohuslav V. of Swan Mountain. In 1575 Christoph von Swan Mountain bought on Worlik from the reigns Klingenberg and Mühlhausen the Exchequer and combined this with Worlik. After the abolition of patrimonial Jetětice / Jetětitz formed in 1850 with the hamlet of Cervena a municipality in the district court and district Milevsko. 1857 a major fire destroyed most of the village. In 1860 lived in 21 houses of Jetětice 273 people. In 1877, a private school house was built in Jetětice, during which the instruction was taken in September of the same year.
