Johan Gabriel Oxenstierna (pentathlete)

Johan Gabriel Oxenstierna af Korsholm och Wasa ( born August 28, 1899 in Stockholm, † July 18, 1995 in Täby ) was a high-ranking member of the Swedish Navy and successful athletes in the modern pentathlon.

He completed his training as a naval officer in 1920 and came from the same year in the Swedish Navy, where he was transported by sea in the course of his career up to the captain. From 1932 to 1933 he served as Naval Attaché in Paris, from 1942 he was military attaché in London. In 1954 he retired.

In the Summer Olympics 1932 in Los Angeles, he won the gold medal in the modern pentathlon.

Johan Oxenstierna was twice, 1922 and 1946, married and had two sons with his first wife and a daughter.
