John Bosco Manat Chuabsamai ( Thai: ย อ ห์ น บอส โก มนัส จวบ สมัย, pronunciation: [ yɔ ː n bɔ ː tko ː Manat ʨù ː apsàmaj ]; born October 31, 1935 at Tambon Bang Nok Khwaek, Amphoe Bang Khonthi, Samut Songkhram province, central Thailand; † 20 October 2011 in Amphoe Ban Pong ) was a Thai clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Ratchaburi.

Life

John Bosco Manat Chuabsamai received on 10 May 1961, the ordination. He was secretary of the St. John Bosco House in Ratchaburi (1961 /63), Secretary of Mae Phra Fatima, a church at Tambon Huai Yang of the district ( Amphoe ) Thap Sakae Prachuap Khiri Khan ( ปลัด วัด แม่พระฟาติมา ห้วย ยาง ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ) ( 1963-65 ) and secretary of the church Mae Phra Maha Thuc in the district of Tha Muang Kanchanaburi province ( ปลัด วัด แม่ พระ มหา ทุกข์ ท่าม่วง ) ( 1965-69 ). After acting as a director of an art school ( 1968-69 ), he was from 1969 to 1974 priests of the church Mae Phra Maha Thuc ( เจ้าอาวาส วัด แม่ พระ มหา ทุกข์ ท่าม่วง ). He has also acted from 1972 to 1974 for the Institute of Social Order (ISO) in Manila, Philippines, as well as for the Family Life Center of Del Monte, Philippines. From 1974 to 1976 he taught at the Daruna, a religious school in Ratchaburi. From 1976 to 1978 he completed his studies in philosophy at the Catholic University of America and taught from 1978 to 1984 at the Faculty of Saengtham College ( วิทยาลัย แสง ธรรม ); Moreover, he was the Vice President. In a sabbatical year 1984/85 he studied at the University of Zurich and the Catholic University of Leuven. 1985 to 1996 he was rector of the Saengtham College.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 25 November 1985 as Bishop of Ratchaburi and donated him on 6 January 1986 in St. Peter's episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Cardinal Secretary of State Agostino Casaroli, and Cardinal Bernardin Gantin, Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops.

On 24 July 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation. He died in hospital of Amphoe Ban Pong.
