John E. Otto

John E. Otto ( born December 18, 1938 in Saint Paul, Minnesota ) is a former American government official. On May 26, 1987, he was appointed director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). His office he laid about six months later settled on 2 November 1987.

Otto studied at the University of Minnesota and St. Cloud State University in 1960 and earned his Bachelor of Science. 1964 Otto entered the service of the FBI, where he Agent in Charge of Minnesota was among other things, as a special before he became a director.
