Stanley Finch

Stanley Finch ( born July 20, 1872 in Monticello, Sullivan County, New York, † 1951) was an American government official. Finch was the first director of the newly established Bureau of Investigation ( BOI), emerged from the later, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Finch led the Boi 1908 until 1912.

Life

Finch studied, among others, at the Baker University in Baldwin City and the Corcoran Scientific School in Washington DC In 1893 he accepted a position in the Ministry of Justice of the United States. During his tenure in the Ministry of Justice Finch became the first Bachelor of Laws in 1908, the year after he graduated Master of Laws; both statements were made to the Law School of George Washington University. The approval of the Bar Association in Washington DC took place in 1911. From 1908 to 1912 Finch was the director of the newly formed investigative authority " Bureau of Investigation ". 1913 Finch was Special Assistant to the U.S. Attorney General. Until his retirement from professional life in 1940 Finch worked in both the private sector and continue for the Ministry of Justice.
