John Hillcoat

John Hillcoat ( born 1961 in Queensland) is an Australian screenwriter and film director.

Life and career

Hillcoat grew up in Hamilton, Canada. He was known as a director of music videos and worked, among other things several times with the Australian musician, writer and actor Nick Cave and the British synth pop group Depeche Mode together.

In 1988, his first feature film came in Hell Welcome to the theaters for the next Hillcoat Nick Cave and three other authors also wrote the screenplay.
