Jonathan Zebina

Jonathan Zebina ( born July 19, 1978 in Paris, France ) is a French football player. Zebina acts on the position of the defensive player, and can play both in central defense and at right-back.

Career

Association

He began his professional career in 1996 at AS Cannes, after 27 professional applications, he moved in 1998 to Cagliari Calcio in Italy, for which he played 48 league games in two years.

In 2000, Zebina signed AS Roma, where he developed into a regular player on the right defensive side and in his first season won the Scudetto. When his coach Fabio Capello went from Roma to Juventus in 2004, Zebina followed him and left the Roma to Serie A 87 inserts. After a publicized dispute between Zebina and the club leadership of Juventus - Zebina called for a doubling his previous salary of two million euros - was his departure in the meantime as safe. Nevertheless, he remained after the demotion to Serie B, because of the involvement in the football scandal in 2005/ 06 at Juve and managed with the team direct promotion back to the A. Zebina series was then set to the right side of the back four as a regular player.

Although he was very unpopular with the fans of Juventus and was often booed, he extended in June 2007 his contract until the year 2011. In September 2007, he was suspended for four games and ordered to pay 15,000 euro fine after the had match against Cagliari Calcio insulted and slapped a folder. The trigger was a yellow- red card, which he had previously received. In the 2008 /09 season, the Frenchman came through injury only to eight inserts season at Juventus.

On August 31, 2010, Jonathan Zebina and Juventus agreed to an amicable termination of his contract. A short time later, the Frenchman signed a contract for two years at Brescia Calcio.

After just one year he moved Zebina back home, so he signed a contract in the summer of 2011 at Stade Brest. Another year later, he moved to FC Toulouse.

National

With Juventus Zebina is also recommended for the French national team, for whom he ran aground on 9 February 2005 against Sweden. It remained so far but with this one international match.
