Kasey Kahne

Kasey Kahne Kenneth ( born April 10, 1980 in Enumclaw, Washington) is an American race car driver in the NASCAR Sprint Cup. He is also the owner of a car in the World of Outlaws racing series. Kahne is committed to charitable affairs and is a member of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. He lives in Huntersville in the U.S. state of North Carolina.

Career

Kahne began his career in racing with open-wheel sprint race at the Deming Speedway in Deming, before joining the race for the USAC to Skagit Speedway in Alger. He was taken by Steve Lewis under contract, who had also the later NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon and Kenny Irwin Jr. under contract. Right in the first year he was elected Rookie of the Year and also won the National Midget Championship. In the following season he drove on the USAC races as well as the Toyota Atlantic Series and the World of Outlaws.

Kahne went to 20 races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at the start, which was driving the Ford Taurus with the start number 98 for Robert Yates Racing. His best finish was a tenth place at the Cabela's 250 In the 2003 season he moved to the Great Clips Ford with the number 38 for Akins Motorsports.
