Keena Rothhammer

Keena Roth Hammer ( born February 26, 1956 in Santa Clara ) is a retired American swimmer.

In her playing days, she was on the lines of 200 m to 1500 m freestyle at home and found more than 200 m and 800 m freestyle two world records. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, she was 16 years old about 800 m freestyle Olympic champion and won the 200m freestyle bronze medal. A year later she was over 200 m freestyle at the World Championships in Belgrade world champion and won the 400m freestyle silver medal.

Because of persistent migraine attacks she finished with 17 years of her career as a swimmer. In 1991 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
