Kemmental
Kemmental is a political municipality in the district of Kreuzlingen in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.
Geography
The Kemmental lies between the Ottenberg and the lake ridge. It has an area of 6.5 x 5.7 km. The Kemmental is traversed from east to west from Kemme.
History
Siegershausen appear in medical manuals, since Jacob Nufer is said to have performed the first Caesarean section in 1500, in which the mother has survived.
As of 1 January 1996, the Munizipalgemeinden Alterswilen and Hugelshofen as well as the local communities Alterswilen ( BFS-Nr. 4631 ), Altishausen ( BFS-Nr. 4632 ), Ellighausen ( BFS-Nr. 4634 ), Lippoldswilen ( BFS-Nr. 4635 ), were Neuwilen ( BFS-Nr. 4636 ), Siegershausen ( BFS-Nr. 4637 ), Dotnacht ( BFS-Nr. 4936 ) and Hugelshofen ( BFS-Nr. 4937 ) merged to form the political community Kemmental. For new community includes the villages Bommen, Engelswilen and Schwaderloh.
