Ken Sutton

Kenneth William " Ken " Sutton ( born November 5, 1969 in Edmonton, Alberta ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. During his career, 1987-2006, he played for the Buffalo Sabres, Edmonton Oilers, St. Louis Blues, New Jersey Devils, San Jose Sharks and New York Islanders in the National Hockey League as well as the ERC Ingolstadt in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Sutton played during his junior career only a year in the 1988/89 season for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League. With the team he took this season, also at Memorial Cup tournament, in the All-Star team, he was elected. After the season, which finished the defender with 53 points in 71 games, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1989 in the fifth round to 98th position from the Buffalo Sabres.

After a season with the Rochester Americans, the farm team of the Buffalo's American Hockey League, the Canadians managed to season 1990/91 the leap to the NHL squad of Sabres. In this he established himself into the very shortened by the lockout season 1994/95 and completed in the game year 1993/94 be personally successful NHL year with 24 in 78 games. During the 1994/95 season, in April 1995, Sutton was transferred to Scott Pearson to the Edmonton Oilers in his hometown. At the end of the 2000/01 season he won with the New Jersey Devils to the Stanley Cup, even though he had played only six NHL games for the team throughout the course of the season. After spending the 2001/ 02 in the Islanders franchise, he went in the summer of 2002 as a free agent once again to the Devils in New Jersey.

So he came over, not a single NHL - use, he moved to Europe in spring 2003. He played three years for the ERC Ingolstadt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, before he ended his career after the 2005/06 season.
