Kenan DoÄŸulu

Kenan Doğulu ( born May 31, 1974 in Istanbul) is a Turkish pop singer.

Doğulu has a longer musical training behind him, which he began with just five years. He completed his higher musical education at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and later at the Bilgi University in Istanbul. Fame and musical success in Turkey gained Doğulu 1993 with his first album Yaparım Bilirsin ( en: You know, I do that ). His subsequent albums cemented his success. Today he is one of the established names of Turkish pop music.

On the occasion of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the Turkish Republic founded Doğulu toured in 1998 with his tour Republic ( Cumhuriyet Turnesi ) through the whole of Turkey and covered over a longer period old military march music from days of the Republic was founded.

He is the owner of Doğulu Productions record label in which, inter alia, Bengü under contract.

Kenan Doğulu represented at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, Turkey with the subtle oriental -inspired dance song Shake it up shekerim. Doğulu launched at the finale with start number 22 and finished with 163 points in fourth place. According to a survey conducted by the Turkish newspaper Milliyet in advance of the competition did not like 58.36 percent of the 50 768 participants the song, 41.64 percent found it good.
