Kevin Miehm

Kevin Miehm (born 10 October 1969 in Kitchener, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He was active for the Adler Mannheim and the Nuremberg Ice Tigers, among others, in the DEL.

Career

Kevin Miehm first played as a striker for the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League ( OHL ), before he was hired by the NHL's St. Louis Blues at 54th position in the third round of the NHL Entry Draft in 1987.

Since he was the NHL initially could not prevail as desired to the Blues in their farm team, the Peoria Rivermen put him in the International Hockey League ( IHL ) before it in the season 1992/93 he managed in the team of the St. Louis Blues under forward. His career in Missouri, however, was short-lived. Again and again he had to take the road to the IHL to the Peoria Rivermen and therefore came up to the 1993/94 season only 24 missions in the NHL. He scored six points scorer. About the Fort Wayne Komets and the Michigan K- Wings, both teams from the IHL, he came in 1996 to Europe, where he worked for two years in the hockey department of Villach SV, the EC VSV that were initially active in the Austrian Hockey League, found shelter. In the first season, he scored a total of 100 points scorer in 45 games and was one of the most prominent players on the team from Carinthia. In the middle of the season 1998/99 he came to Mannheim and then after 32 games with the Adler Mannheim under coach Lance Nethery German masters. He contributed 18 points scorer for the championship. The Hockey legionnaire played in the following season for two teams, one for VEU Feldkirch in Austria for scoring (20 goals) in 25 games 59 points scorer and then for the DEL team of Nuremberg Ice Tigers for which he then by the 2000 / 01 total 12 goals reached at 56 scorer points in 77 games together. In the British Ice Hockey Super League he finished a year later at the Sheffield Steelers his career.

Kevin Miehm was considered a very fair player. In 109 games in the DEL, he received only 44 penalty minutes in the NHL and only eight penalty minutes.
