Kevin Todd

Kevin Todd ( born May 4, 1968 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who during his active career, among other things, for the New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers, Chicago Blackhawks, Los Angeles Kings and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the National Hockey League was active.

Career

Kevin Todd began his career at the Winnipeg Stars in the MMMHL, for which he was active in the 1984/85 season. He then joined the Prince Albert Raiders and went in the next three years for their team in the Canadian top junior league WHL on the ice. During this time he was selected Devils NHL Entry Draft in 1986 in the seventh round in a total of 129 position by the New Jersey. In the 1988/89 season Todd completed his first game for the New Jersey Devils in the NHL, but was mainly for their former farm team, the Utica Devils in the American Hockey League action. In the season 1990/91 the attacker scored in 75 games total of 118 points scorer for the Utica Devils and was awarded as the best scorer of the regular season with the John B. Sollenberger Trophy. He has also been awarded in the same season as the MVP of the Les Cunningham Award. For the following season, he was exclusively with the New Jersey Devils in the NHL in use, scored 63 points in 87 games and was elected to the All- Rookie team NHL.

In the following season he was unable to sustain these benefits and transferred on 13 January 1993 in a swap deal with Zdeno Cíger to the Edmonton Oilers. In return, the veteran Bernie Nicholls went to the Devils. After 25 games for the Oilers, in which Todd had scored 13 points, he was re- issued on 7 October 1993 in a barter trade, this time to the Chicago Blackhawks. In Chicago, it did not keep him long, and yet in the same season, the attacker left the Blackhawks and was sent to the Los Angeles Kings. In the following two seasons managed to increase his points haul him, but was not offered contract extension in the summer of 1996. On 10 July 1996, he signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Even before the start of the 1996/97 season, the Penguins put him on the Waiverliste, chose him from the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

In his first season in Anaheim Todd completed 69 NHL games for the Californians and posted it 30 points. He reached for a first-round victory over the Phoenix Coyotes with the team the second playoff round and failed in four games against the eventual Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings. After he had played 27 games for the Mighty Ducks the following season, Todd was up to the end of the season for their farm team, the, sent Long Beach Ice Dogs in the International Hockey League. After the Canadians had not received a new contract with the Californians, he signed for the 1998/99 season when EV train. After 45 missions and 52 points for the EV train in the National League A, he finished after this season his career.
