Khai Bang Rachan District

Amphoe Khai Bang Rachan ( Thai: อำเภอ ค่ายบางระจัน ) is a district ( Amphoe: administrative district ) of the province of Singburi. Singburi is located in the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Bang Rachan, Amphoe Mueang and Amphoe Tha Chang Singburi province of Singburi, Amphoe Sawaeng Ha Province Ang Thong and Amphoe Bang Nang Buat Doem the province of Suphanburi.

History

1966 was renovated Khai Bang Rachan (Camp Bang Rachan ). To think of the famous in Thailand 's historic theater of war at Bang Rachan, it was decided to establish a new district. The area was separated from the Amphoe Bang Rachan on 1 February 1972, decorated with five Tambon first as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ). 1976 got Khai Bang Rachan officially the full Amphoe status. The sixth Tambon Nong Krathum was established in 1980.

Management

The county Khai Bang Rachan is divided into six subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 59 villages ( Muban ).

Pho Sang Kho ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โพ สั ง โฆ ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the tambon same name.

There are also six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
