KÍ Klaksvík (women)

KÍ Klaksvík, full name Klaksvíkar Ítróttarfelag ( " Klaksvíker Sports Club " ) is the most successful Faroese football club in women's football.

History

While the main club Klaksvík already founded on 24 August 1904 in the city as a tennis club and in 1911 his first football game played, the team came in women's football until 1985 to do so. In the same year was also the first Deild which women's teams allowed to participate in a championship, was founded. Ever since the first league KÍ suffered only team not descent.
