Klára Křížová

Klára Krizova ( born July 13, 1989 in Zlín ) is a Czech skier. She is the daughter of Olympic medalist Olga Charvátová and successfully, especially in the speed disciplines Downhill and Super -G.

Biography

Krizova denied their first FIS race in December 2004. First they launched exclusively for racing in North America, where she won her first FIS Slalom on 4 February 2005. Your first race on European soil, she contested at the Junior World Championship 2005 in Bardonecchia, but where they could classify only in the rear midfield. Then they started again until December 2006 exclusively in America. My first race in Nor- Am Cup she went on 17 March 2005. During this departure from Le Massif she came on the 22th rank. In the World Cup, she started for the first time at the speed races in Lake Louise early December 2005. In both runs, she took each of the last place and in the Super- G in fourth last the 52nd place. In the Nor- Am Cup in the 2005/06 season was the 13th in the first departure of Lake Louise and her best result at the 2006 Junior World Championships she was able to classify in the Downhill and Super -G among the fastest 30.

Your next World Cup races contested Krizova early December 2006 in Lake Louise again, but this time she was able to classify in the Super -G and Downhill located in the last or third from the bottom. A few days later, her in the Nor -Am Cup downhill in Lake Louise, the second place behind the Canadian Britt Janyk. On January 13, 2007, she played in Altenmarkt their next World Cup race, but came back only to the last place. Three days later they drove their first European Cup races and on February 15 she came with rank 25 in the Super -G of Sella Nevea first time in the European Cup in the points. At the Junior World Championships in March 2007 No. 18 was her best result in the super -G.

In the 2007 /08 season from the Czech Republic finished second in the two Nor- Am Cup downhill in Lake Louise, the fourth and fifth place, which they finished fifth in downhill overall. In the European Cup seven times she went into the top 20 with their best results were the sixth place in the Super -G of Caspoggio and the seventh place in the Super G in Davos. Their only World Cup race of the season, the Super -G of Lake Louise, she could not finish. At winter's end, she won the Super G and Super Combined at the Czech Championships in Spindleruv Mlyn. In the 2008 /09 season Krizova played a total of seven World Cup races. But you could always classify only the last five and remained of the points far away. In the European Cup was their best result of 14th place in the Super G in St. Moritz, in the Nor- Am Cup she was not this winter at the start. In February 2009 Krizova participated in the World Championships in Val d'Isere. She started in the Super- G and super combined, where it was respectively 25, and the only Czech in the run, which she finished in 29th place. Four weeks later, she reached the eighth place in the Super -G and ninth in the downhill at the 2009 World Junior Championships.

In the season 2009/10 achieved Krizova in the World Cup rankings initially only to rank 50, and as in previous years, until they surprisingly went 30 January 2010 in the departure of St. Moritz in 20th place and for the first and so far only time World Cup points won. She was thus the first Czech since Ludmilla Milanova in the 1991/92 season, won the World Cup points in the downhill. In February Krizova competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. It reached number 29 in the Super -G, was in the downhill but after a fall only 37 and at the same time last. In the European Cup, the seventh place in the first departure from Tarvis was her best result of the season on March 9, 2010. In the season 2010/11 Krizova was not on the last place in addition to their four World Cup races. In the European Cup however, they reached fourth place in the second departure from Sochi her until then best result. At the World Championships 2011 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, it achieved very similar results as in its World Cup debut two years earlier. As each best Czech she took in the Super Combined rank 24 and in the downhill course 28, but in the Super- G she left.

In winter 2011/2012 Krizova missed another points win in the World Cup just barely, when she was in the super-combined in St. Moritz 31. In the European Cup they drove in the 2011/2012 season in two runs into the top ten, which they finished seventh in the downhill standings and for the first time achieved a top 10 ranking in a European Cup discipline standings. On December 13, 2012 she managed the first podium place in the European Cup when they finished third in the downhill in St. Moritz.
