Klas Östergren
Klas Östergren ( born February 20, 1955 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a Swedish author, screenwriter and translator. As of December 20, 2014 he is the successor of Ulf Linde as a member of Svenska academies on chair number 11.
Life
Östergren was 20 years old when his first novel was published in 1975 Attila. He was honored for his screenplays, is the author of nearly twenty novels and translator for English-language literature. In the years 1982 to 1989, he was married to Swedish actress Pernilla August. The couple has a daughter, Agnes.
