Kongsvinger Line

The Kongsvingerbane (German Kongsvingerbahn ) is a railway line in Norway, which leads from Lillestrøm to Kongsvinger. The route was opened on October 3, 1862, making it Norway's oldest standard gauge railway. With the projected to Kongsvingerbane Grensebane (German border railway ) via Furumoen (border crossing ) it is linked to Charlotte Berg with the Swedish railway network. In Kongsvinger Station Solørbane the branches to Elverum.

The route is 115 km long, including Grensebane and was electrified in 1951.

The most important stops along the Kongsvingerbane are Fetsund, Sørumsand, Årnes, Skarnes and Kongsvinger. From Oslo operate on the route local trains of the NSB to Kongsvinger, trains of Värmlandstrafik to Karlstad and features of SJ to Stockholm. Formerly wrong also trains the operators Linx and Kungspilen.
