Kostenets

Kostenez (also written Kostenets, Bulgarian Костенец ) is a city in southwestern Bulgaria. The city is known as a spa and health resort and seat of the municipality of the same name. It is located in the district / Sofia Province.

In the area of the place there's sources of water containing radon, which is used for the Radonbalneologie.

Geography

Kostenez lies at the foot of the Rila mountain, in the valley of Dolna Banya, on the upper reaches of the river Maritsa. History
