Kožlí (Písek District)

Kožlí ( German Koschli ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers east of Mirovice and belongs to Okres Pisek.

Geography

Kožlí is located on the left bank of the creek Kozelsky creek in the Central Bohemian hills. To the east lies the Orlik Reservoir, on the southern outskirts of the village ponds Horni Kozelsky rybnik and Dolni Kozelsky fishpond. To the north rises the udice (418 m), in the south of Chlum (502 m ) southwest of the Krahulik (524 m) and in the northwest of Holý vrch (541 m). The village lies on the edge of Orlíker Castle Park.

Neighboring towns are Pukňov in the north, Velky Vir, Radava and Chrást in the Northeast, U Hrobky in the east, Orlik and Stare Saddleback in the southeast, Višňovka and Probulov in the south, Králova Lhota in the southwest, Na Zeleném, Pod Homolí and Lety in the west and serkov, U Kuby and Závist in the northwest.

History

Archaeological finds indicate a prehistoric settlement in the municipal area. North of the village there are a Slavic burial mound dating from between the 8th and 9th century.

The first written mention of the village took place in 1396th

After the Battle of White Mountain, the estate of Peter of swan mountain was confiscated, and in 1621 the landlord of the Eggenberger Worlik. After 1717 the Eggenberger extinguished in the male line, the Haus Schwarzenberg inherited their possessions. In 1837 Kozły consisted of 20 houses with 159 inhabitants. Vicarage was Altsattel ( Staré Saddleback ). Until the mid- 19th century, the village of Fideikommissherrschaft Worlik including the Allodialgütern Zalužan, Zbenitz and Bukowan remained submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial kozle formed in 1850 with the hamlet of Velky Výr a municipality in the district team Pisek and the judicial district of Miro Vice. In 1890 the village consisted of 23 houses and had a population of 150. While the 1920s were the President T. G. Masaryk and other politicians repeatedly in the Pension U Nováků guest.

Since the beginning of the 20th century, the local name Kožlí and was used from 1948 Kožlí u Orlíka. Located in the Vltava river district Velky Vir was dissolved in 1957 during the construction of the Orlik dam and flooded later. 1964 Kožlí u Orlíka was incorporated into Orlik nad Vltavou. On 1 January 1992, Kožlí u Orlíka sparked again nad Vltavou rid of Orlik and formed the community Kožlí. On Reservoir Recreation Area Velky Vir lies.

  • Cast iron wayside cross from 1862 on the outskirts by Orlik
  • Schwarzenbergská hrobka, neo-gothic grave chapel of the second entailed estate of Prince Schwarzenberg, east of the village in U Hrobky. The non-public private chapel was built 1875-1877 and is a scaled partial copy of the mausoleum of the Schwarzenberg family Třeboně, in it are, inter alia, the remains of Field Marshal Karl Philipp zu Schwarzenberg. It was renovated in 2011.
