Kráľová pri Senci

Kráľová pri Senci (Slovak 1920-1960 " Kráľová "; German king silk, Hungarian Királyfa ) is a municipality in Bratislavskı Region in western Slovakia.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Danubian Lowland on both banks of the river Čierna voda. The city Senec located 6 km to the northwest, while the capital Bratislava is located 26 km to the west.

The two former village centers still form the districts Kráľová and Krmeš.

History

The earliest written mention of the church was part Krmeš in 1245 as Kermesd, who was in possession of the Middle Ages Pressburger chapter. For the community part Kráľová the first mention of the year 1335 as a villa Regia (Royal Village ). It was so named because it was the royal estate and hunting lodge where it is mentioned in 1421, which was a popular place for both of Sigismund of Luxembourg and Matthias Corvinus.

1712-15 here Pálffys of an existing country castle was rebuilt in the Baroque style, which included a French garden and English park. These were connected to a wooden, since 1904 a stone bridge over the secession Čierna voda. After the death of the last owner the land castle fell slowly until it was destroyed in World War II. Today, only the chapel and get the bridge remained. After 1863, the hitherto independent place Opátsky Krmeš (Hungarian Apácakörmösd at that time) was incorporated into Krmeš.

Until 1918, included both places in the county Pressburg the Kingdom of Hungary, after they came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia. On the basis of the First Vienna Award in 1938-45 they were again to Hungary.

Today's church was built in its present form in 1943 by the amalgamation of the municipality Krmeš ( German wholesale Körmöschd, Hungarian Papkörmösd ) referred to in the then only Kráľová or Hungarian Királyfa place.

Today the church is known as a center of Slovak beekeeping. The place is located in the area of ​​cultural and educational center of the Slovak beekeeper beekeeper Museum.
