Kras Stadion

The Kras Stadium (until 2002 Veronicastadion ) is a football stadium in the district of the Dutch municipality of Edam- Volendam Volendam, North Holland province. It lies close to the shores of the Sea marker. In the stadium of football club FC Volendam plays its home games.

History

The stadium opened in 1975 consists of four individually standing, covered bleachers ( Dr. Duin tribune; Jaap Jonk tribune; Jaap Bond Tribune; Pé Mühren Tribune ); which provide visitors with 6,200 seats. In addition to the stadium are currently eight other football fields. In the early 1990s the largest renovation was carried out in the stadium. Since 2006 an artificial turf is laid in the venue. Its current name it has on the resident in Volendam recycling company Kras Recycling BV; whose CEO Henk Kras also the president of FC Volendam.

On July 7, 2012 will be the fourth time a concert under the name Votown AllStars that is held annually in the Kras Stadium.
