Trendwork-Arena

The trend -Arena is the football stadium of the Dutch soccer club Fortuna Sittard. It replaced the 1954 -built stadium De Baandert.

History

The stadium was opened on 14 November 1999. The first game denied Fortuna Sittard and FC Schalke 04 ( 1:1). At that time it was called the Wagner & Partners Stadion, which it kept until 2008. From 2008 to 2009, there has since been renamed Fortuna stadium. On 22 October 2009 the club announced that the arena will be called for the next five years Trendwork arena. The Dutch temporary employment agency Trendwork Uitzendgroep secured the naming rights and the contracts were signed on 27 November 2009.

The arena consists of four covered patio ranks adjacent close to the playing field and are separated by a moat from the lawn. Overall, the sports venue offers seating for 12,500 fans. There are available 16 lodges and 1,060 business seats. For the visiting fans 800 seats are available. In the stadium are facilities for events such as conferences, parties, meetings, receptions or dinner. They carry, inter alia, the name Mark van Bommel Zaal and Bert van Marwijk Zaal. To the stadium has a car park with 800 parking spaces. In summer 2012, a club museum was opened in the stadium.
