The stadium De Vijverberg or shortly called De Vijverberg is a football stadium in the Dutch municipality of Doetinchem in the province of Gelderland. It is the home ground of the VBV De Graafschap Doetinchem.

History

The stadium De Vijverberg was built in 1954 for the newly established on February 1 club De Graafschap Doetinchem. The land was provided by a cattle dealer ortsansäßigen available and within five months was completed on a site of wooden bleachers. All four old spectator stands were demolished and replaced. The ranks were built even closer to the pitch. The inauguration of the renovated sports facility was celebrated on 12 August 2000 with the De Graafschap game against the Spanish club Deportivo Alavés ( 0:0). Today, the stadium has 12,600 covered seats. Instead of a lawn heating a system with a slide that is pulled across the lawn, used.

By March 2007, the stadium was club property. Due to financial difficulties, the club was forced to sell the stadium to the municipality Doetinchem.
