Krinau
Krinau was until December 31, 2012, a municipality in the canton of St. Gallen. It is located in the constituency of Toggenburg. In a referendum, the citizens of Krinau have decided, with the neighboring community Wattwil to merge on 1 January 2013, and then to become a part of that community.
Geography
The village is situated at 800 meters above sea level and is located approximately four kilometers in a straight line to the northwest of Wattwil. The neighboring municipalities are next Wattwil Bütschwil and Mosnang.
Krinau was at the time of integration into the community Wattwil the smallest municipality in the canton of St. Gallen.
