Krylovskaya, Krylovsky District, Krasnodar Krai

Krylowskaja (Russian Крыловская ) is a Cossack village in Krylowski rajon the Krasnodar region in Russia with 13,621 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ). It is not to be confused with the homonymous Staniza in Leningradski rajon the Krasnodar region.

Geography

The village is located some 160 km as the crow north-northeast of the region administrative center of Krasnodar at the Jeja and its left tributary Wessjolaja.

Krylowskaja is the administrative center of the rayon Krylowski as well as the seat of the rural community Krylowskoje selskoje posselenije, which also includes the hamlets ( Chutor ) Jeja (15 km east) and Kasatschi (12 km east ), are both on the left bank of the Jeja.

History

The village was founded in 1794 as one of the first 40 Cossack settlements in the Kuban region. The Kurinsiedlung was initially after the Russian Empress Catherine II (Russian Ekaterina ) the name Jekaterininskoje. In the course of the 19th century peasants and Cossacks from the provinces of Chernigov, Poltava, and Kiev Jekaterinoslaw were settled and the place was as Jekaterinowskaja the status of a Cossack village.

On 31 December 1934, the Cossack village administrative seat of a Rajons. In 1961 she was given its present name after the nearest railway station in the Cossack village Oktjabrskaja ( to 1963 Nowomichailowskaja ), although there rayon in the west adjacent Leningradski, only about 50 miles away, already was another larger Staniza with names Krylowskaja. On February 11, 1963 Rajon was temporarily dissolved until it was restored from parts of the Nachbarrajons on 5 April 1978.

Traffic

Road connection to the well situated 10 km west Staniza Oktjabrskaja on the federal highway M4 Moscow - Rostov-on- Don - Krasnodar - Novorossiysk (also European Route 115). In Oktjabrskaja is also the station Krylowskaja at kilometer 1468 (from Moscow), which opened on this section in 1875 and electrified railway line since 1962 Rostov - Vladikavkaz / - Makhachkala - Baku.
