Kümmernitztal

Kümmernitztal is a municipality in the district of Prignitz in Brandenburg. It is administered by the Office Meyenburg with headquarters in the city Meyenburg.

The municipality Kümmernitztal include the district Preddöhl with the inhabited part of municipality Hagen rocks and the districts Grabow and Buckow. With its 368 inhabitants Kümmernitztal is the smallest independent municipality of the state of Brandenburg.

Geography and transport

The Kümmernitz flows in Kümmernitztal a reservoir southwest towards Dömnitz. By municipality, the federal highway 24, which is accessible via the Meyenburg about four kilometers east of the main road 103 runs.

History

Today's church was established on 31 December 2001, from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Grabow -Buckow and Preddöhl.

Grabow

The first written mention of the village dates back to 1488th The church was built in 1860 is a neo-Gothic stone building. On August 18, 1962, the places Grabow and Buckow were merged into one municipality Grabow -Buckow. 1961 were found in a field in Grabow, a stone ax from the Stone Age and a year later urns in the construction of a road. Preddöhl

The town was first mentioned in 1318 as " Predule " and emerged as Angersdorf. It traces of a former castle were found on a farm.

Municipal council

At the meeting of community representatives meeting Kümmernitztal on 27 February 2012 was elected by Steffen Sadowski, a new honorary mayor from among the remaining four community representatives. This was the local council Kümmernitztal of only three community representatives and therefore less than half of the gem. § 6 paragraph 2 and 3 BbgKWahlG prescribed courses. In accordance with § 54 Section 1 BbgKWahlG the District Administrator of the Prignitz dissolved the municipal council Kümmernitztal on with immediate effect and put a set date for the election of the municipal council to June 17, 2012 permanently.
