Kyogle

Kyogle is a town in the far northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales. The city is located about 30 km north- west of Lismore ( New South Wales), 32 km north of Casino and 758 kilometers north of Sydney at the Richmond River. It is the administrative center of the Local Government Area Kyogle Council and was in the 2006 census, a population of 2,731.

Origin of the name

Kyogle is a word of Aboriginessprache and in German means a bustard egg or egg of a hen as a tribute to the bush native to the region Busch chickens.

Economy
