Las Ketchup

Las Ketchup is a Spanish girl group. The group consists of the four sisters Lola, Lucía and Pilar Muñoz and Rocío from Córdoba in Andalucia, where Rocio Muñoz is only since 2006 there. Her biggest success was The Ketchup Song from the year 2002.

Band History

The four sisters grew up in Cordoba, Spain. Her father is the flamenco guitarist Juan Muñoz, who is also known by the stage name El Tomate. Consequently, their first album was called Hijas del Tomate then ( tomates daughters ). Her brother is Juan Manuel Munoz, called Juanma, who like his father is also a guitarist.

With their hit The Ketchup Song ( Aserejé ) they ended up as a trio (still without Rocio Muñoz ) in 2002 a worldwide summer hit. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as in numerous other countries they occupied for weeks so that topped the charts. For this song the dance craze of 2002 was created. In 2006, the sister quartet at Euro Vision Song Contest 2006 in Athens and took part with the song Un Blodymary with 18 points the 21th Place.
