Lavassaare
Lavassaare ( Lavassaare vald, German: Lawasser ) is an Estonian rural municipality in the district of Pärnu. At 8 km ² live 547 inhabitants ( 2006).
Lavassaare located 23 km from Pärnu. The landscape is located 31 m above sea level and is characterized by moors. Lavassaare is known primarily founded, sprawling 1987 Railroad Open Air Museum, which gives a good insight into Estonian history of the narrow gauge railway since the inception in 1896.
